The second midterm is not cumulative (though inasmuch as we are building on previous material, you cannot know “nothing” from earlier topics). The material for the midterm starts with the section called “Conditional Distributions” in Probability Notes 4 (“Multivariate Distributions”). It will cover up to and including the section “t-statistic” in Statistics Notes 4 (“Inference”). It will include everything in Statistics Notes 1-3 with the exception of the proof of the central limit theorem, which we will do after the midterm.
