Brantly Callaway
I am the P. George Benson Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Georgia.
My primary research interests are in causal inference with panel data. A large part of my work has been on difference-in-differences, including settings with variation in treatment timing, continuous treatments, and covariates.
Currently, I am mainly working on ways to relax assumptions like parallel trends that underlie difference-in-differences and related approaches.
I have also developed methods to understand treatment effect heterogeneity beyond average effects, such as distributional and quantile treatment effects.
I am currently an Associate Editor at the Journal of Econometrics, the Econometrics Journal, and Econometric Reviews.
At UGA, I teach courses on econometrics, both to graduate and undergraduate students.
